Use this simple guide to find your ideal measurements. And remember, because every piece is handcrafted by me in my studio, custom sizing is always available. If you need a little extra length or a more petite fit, just ask!
How to Measure for Bracelets
All Plein De Vie bracelets are crafted in a standard 6¼" size, which fits most wrists beautifully. To check your size, follow these three simple steps:
Step 1: Measure
Wrap a flexible measuring tape (or a piece of string) around your wrist, just below the wrist bone where you would naturally wear a bracelet.
Step 2: Find Your Base Size
If you used a string, lay it flat against a ruler to find your exact wrist measurement in inches.
Step 3: Choose Your Fit
Add the following to your base measurement depending on how you like your jewelry to feel:
•For a Snug Fit: Add ¼" to ½" (Best for delicate chain bracelets)
•For a Comfort Fit: Add ¾" to 1" (The most popular choice)
•For a Loose Fit: Add 1 ¼" (Best for larger cuffs or chunky styles)
How to Measure for Necklaces
Finding the right necklace length is all about your personal style and the neckline of your favourite outfits. Here are two easy ways to find your perfect length:
Method 1: The Favourite Necklace Test
The easiest way to find your size is to measure a necklace you already own and love. Lay it flat on a table and measure it from end to end (including the clasp).
Method 2: The Ribbon Test
Take a piece of ribbon or string and drape it around your neck to the spot where you want the pendant to rest. Pinch the spot, lay the ribbon flat against a ruler, and measure the length.
Styling Tip: If you are planning to layer multiple necklaces, I recommend leaving at least 2 inches between each chain (e.g., pairing a 16" chain with an 18" chain) so each piece has room to shine.
